Faced with any given challenge, I spot the relevant patterns and issues then create alternative ways to proceed.

I begin most projects with a period of research and asking lots of pointed questions. What has been done before to address this issue? What hasn’t been tried?

I’m attuned to other people’s needs and feelings. I connect well with users and understand their goals and frustrations.

When a storm rolls in, I maintain Buddha-like clarity and equanimity.

I know that I don’t have all the answers; instead, I prefer to work with everyone who has a stake in the challenge we’re addressing (the audience, marketers, VPs, developers) to design a solution together.

Nothing makes my skin crawl more than the phrase, “That’s the way we’ve always done it.”
